My WORST Indoor Karting CRASH!

(Shout out to David Blumenfeld for the awesome new Two Flags intro!) This week, I decided to do an experiment; I brought my heart rate monitor with me to MB2 Raceway in Sylmar, CA to answer the question of, "how fit do you need to be to race an indoor go kart?" (Of course, we mean to race it competitively, not just mess around on the track.) Faster forms of open-wheel racing like IndyCar, Formula 1 ( F1 ), and shifter karts put the drivers into high heart rates (usually between 170-190 beats per minute). Most of the time, I was running between 120-140 beats per minute. I have a feeling some of that is due to the fun factor (i.e. adrenaline) that comes with racing, but still, this is a low-moderate aerobic heart rate (for me, it would be low zone-2 on the bicycle). Justin, Carpenter, & shakeNbake showed up this night also, not to mention, I ended up having my worst crash since I started racing indoor karts.
