Gran Dell (Night) (from Xenoblade Chronicles: Future Connected) - Cello Sextet

This is a cover of the Gran Dell town theme, heard at night. It's arranged for cello sextet.

Don't you just love when you get that feeling surfing a new game's soundtrack and immersing yourself in its landscapes? This has some serious Refugee Camp vibes (from the main game), and that was already my favorite tune from the original. I guess the word is melancholically desolate? Or maybe I just have a thing for G♭maj7.

A few notes on this arrangement - I totally rushed to finish writing it out as soon as I heard it, but I ended up waiting on my new camera to ship before recording it. With that, I think the image quality has vastly improved - please let me know in the comments if I did well in that regard! I've never had a good...eye for these things, so I'm learning visual production arts as I go and appreciate any and all feedback!

The second cello part is actually tuned down a half step entirely. I really enjoy the timbre that it offers - it's more raw and...sour? sounding, almost as if it were played on gut strings. More importantly, it fits in the key really well, and makes playing the 16th note arpeggios much, much easier.
