BTS (방탄소년단): The Complete Movie

Highlighting every BTS music video to date, starting with “No More Dream” and ending with “Airplane Pt.2”

So as you know, most music videos are comprised of multiple clips highlighting different locations, outfits, etc. stitched together to either form an overall story for the music video, or just to add to the aesthetic of it.

Since BTS music videos have gotten increasingly “cinematic” (filming the members acting, close-ups, etc.), I thought it’d be interesting to see what the storylines in their music videos look like if you take out all the clips where they are performing choreography or singing to the camera. If you watch the whole video, you can see just how complicated their music videos evolved to become.

Their staff works immensely hard to film, edit, and put together these masterpieces, and me editing this video just proves it (my head hurts cause they became so complicated).

So, sit back, and enjoy what I am going to call “BTS (방탄소년단): The Complete Movie”, because at the end of the day, a 1 hour video of nothing but cinematic screenwriting is, by my definition, a movie, and a pretty amazing one at that.

Unfortunately, “Dope”, “Save Me”, and “Boy Meets Evil” were all shot in a one-take style, so there were no cinematic shots for those three music videos. There is also no cinematography to any of Namjoon’s “mono.” lyric videos, or any of the early comeback trailers.
