Homeowners suspect adults coerced young girl into stealing packages in Southern Utah

WASHINGTON CITY, Utah (KUTV) — A young girl, dressed in what looks to be a unicorn onesie and an oversized beanie, was caught on a Ring camera swiping packages off porches in Washington City on Friday, March 14. At least three packages at two different homes were stolen within four hours, with footage showing the same girl approaching homes timidly before running off—barefoot or wearing only socks—with the deliveries.

One of the thefts happened at Kali Field’s home while her family was out at a lacrosse game. Field’s husband saw the incident live on their Ring camera app and called a neighbor, who is a police officer, to report it. Their daughter even took off on an electric scooter to try to track the young girl down.

“I initially thought it was a prank,” Field said. “But seeing how nervous she was and that it looked like she was running towards someone after grabbing the package, I really believe older individuals are behind this.”
