Autocross Tips at a Cal Club Practice Day - Ep. 16

This video is sharing some autocross tips in video form that I tell a lot of drivers in person when coaching them. Also, why you should look into practice days in your area. If you want to learn how to be faster at autocross then this video should help!

The tips boil down to:
Use visualization - This is a very powerful tool. Sadly, I don't see many autocrossers who want to go faster really embrace this.

Use the tightest line you can without squaring off corners. The wider line may feel faster because you are driving faster but the added distance you drive almost never pays off.

Use smooth inputs (throttle and braking). You can see a big difference in the smoothness of my inputs between my first lap and the next one shown in the video. You have a lot more control if you aren't upsetting the balance of the car.
