Lil Skies is already looking like one of the best new artists of 2018. The Waynesboro, PA teenager just dropped his 'Life of a Dark Rose' tape, which rode the strength of "Red Roses" and "Nowadays" into the Billboard Top 10. It's only been a year since his debut project, and Skies has already toured with Lil Uzi Vert and is about to headline his own string of shows.

But Skies is still family first. We linked with the young rapper to discuss his bright future, what it means to be a dark rose, and how he had to step up when his family was in crisis.
