Hannah Covert 2 Tent English Review A Great Backpacking Tent!

Hannah Czech Covert 2 Hiking Tent review in English. Hannah Covert 2, Hiking tent. The Hannah Outdoor Equipment Covert 2 tent is rated according to Hannah as a tent suitable for "Tourism to Mountain Climbing" Ok any tent can work for simple tourism but only a well-designed tent can be of use to climbers and outdoors people intending on going into the wilderness. The Hannah Covert 2 tent has very little mesh in the inner tent. This is good, as this means very little mesh to let howling winds (if they were to get up under the tent fly) to race through your tent chilling your bones off. There are two small vents in the ceiling and both doors are partially vented but can be closed off by zippered doors to regulate air flow. The fly of Hannah the Covert 2, is very well designed. It has two vents, which can be held open or closed completely. When both are open, this will allow air flow (if the tent is pitched so the doors are NOT facing into the wind) to enter the tent. You can close either one to fine tune the air flow. The Fly is securely attached to the tent frame and has it's own 7000 series pole to provide the two very large vestibule areas, which can easily accommodate packs, boots, cooking gear etc. The Hannah Covert 2 fly also comes down to below the level of the tent's tub floor, which is important to prevent cool wind from entering the tent.

Construction:
Outer fly is ripstop nylon
Inner is non-ripstop nylon
Zippers are not labelled

The Covert 2 tent's points of adjustment are well designed and easy to operate.
I decided not to assemble the tent before taking it hiking (not a good idea usually) but I wanted to see how easy it was to erect without reading any instructions: Verdict, it is very easy to erect!

I found the construction of the Hannah Covert 2 tent, ie sewing/stitching to be very good, the tent did not (out of the pack) have any defects present. We did not see huge winds just gentle breezes and it was absolutely fine. I have no reason to suspect that this design can not withstands extremely strong winds nor that it would suffer any ingress of rain even it it was bucking down. There are some nice features like covers over zippered areas of the fly so water will not drip down. Reflective guy lines to the fly and bright red as well to help avoid tripping over the lines in the dark or even daylight.
The Covert 2 tent features only three poles, two the same length which cross over and form a sturdy self standing structure. The third pole serves to support the fly only and crosses over the other two symmetrically.

I bought the Hannah Covert 2 tent as I have a expedition WildCountry tent (currently in another country) which has seen hell and back many times but wanted a cheaper tent for non- expedition use. The Hannah Covert 2 should go the distance, it carries a 2 year warranty on workmanship and materials. I recommend the Hannah Covert 2 if you are after a two person tent which can withstand the elements.
