How to care for an azalea indoors?

To care for an indoor azalea, provide bright, indirect light, avoiding direct sunlight which can scorch the leaves. Water thoroughly when the top inch of soil feels dry, using distilled or rainwater to avoid mineral buildup from tap water. Ensure good drainage to prevent root rot. Maintain high humidity by misting regularly or using a humidifier. Fertilize with an acid-based fertilizer formulated for azaleas during the blooming season, following package instructions. After blooming, prune lightly to shape the plant and encourage new growth. Repotting is only necessary every 2-3 years using an acidic potting mix.
