The Coastal Pacific runs between Christchurch and Picton from September to April.
The train departs Christchurch at 07:00 and arriving at Picton to meet the ferry at 12:40. One hour later the southbound trip starts.
0:00-0:37 701 south over Bridge 180, MNL, 20km into it's southbound journey.
0:37-1:34 700 passing through Lake Grassmere with 63km left to travel to Picton.
1:34-2:23 700 crossing with RM21, Tokomaru at Pines with about 126km to Picton.
