What Happened to $400,000 Raised for Homeless Pennsylvania Man?
Over $400,000 was raised on behalf of a homeless man who helped a stranded woman in Philadelphia last year, but he claims he only saw a fraction of it. Johnny Bobbitt famously came to the rescue of Kate McClure, 28, when her car stalled on a highway ramp last October, using his last $20 to pay for gas. The heartwarming story became a national sensation, with TV appearances and their photo running in newspapers everywhere after McClure and her boyfriend, Mark D'Amico, launched a GoFundMe campaign to find Bobbitt a home.
