Crouch Gait in Cerebral Palsy (सी पी बच्चो में घुटने मोड़ कर चलना): Reason, Prevention & Treatment

Crouch gait (flexed knee gait) is a complex multi-dimensional deformity in children whose natural history is extremely variable & characterized by excessive flexion of the hips & knees during stance. Severe crouch gait is part of the natural history of spastic diplegia & quadriplegia. It is essential to identify the cause of crouching in a child with cerebral palsy the planning of treatment can be done. in most cases, the happening of severe crouching can be prevented by early identification, proper bracing, therapy, weight maintenance, and avoidance of muscle surgery. Once it happens child should be evaluated thoroughly by gait analysis and physical exam then treatment planning should be done.

क्राउच गैट ( घुटना को मोड़ कर चलना ) बच्चों में एक बहुत ही जटिल बहुआयामी विकृति की वजह से होता है जिसका प्राकृतिक इतिहास भिन्न भिन्न होता है और चलने के दौरान कूल्हे और घुटने मुड़े हुवे होते हैं गंभीर तरीके से घुटना को मोड़ कर चलना स्पास्टिक डीप्लेजिया और क्वाड्रीप्लेजिया के प्राकृतिक इतिहास का हिस्सा होता है सेरेब्रल पाल्सी वाले बच्चे में क्राउचिंग के कारण की पहचान करना बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है तब उपचार की योजना बनाई जा सकती है ज्यादातर मामलों में, गंभीर पहचान के होने से शुरुआती पहचान, उचित ब्रेसिंग, थेरेपी, वजन रखरखाव और मांसपेशियों की सर्जरी से बचा जा सकता है। एक बार जब ऐसा होता है तो बच्चे का गहन विश्लेषण और शारीरिक परीक्षा द्वारा पूरी तरह से मूल्यांकन किया जाना चाहिए फिर उपचार योजना बनाई जानी चाहिए।
