Making a Bow String with Flemish Twisted Loops

Today in the shop we are making a double ended flemish twist bow string for my Osage Orange Longbow, made in the previous video.

I’m am using Dacron B50 for the main string, and green nylon thread for the serving. I’ll show you how to use a simple bow string making jig, that was made by my good friend and fellow YouTuber Sean. Go check out his channel, Creating a Life I Want, and give him some subscriber love.

After using the jig to measure out and prep your bundles, then I go over how to bind all three and create end loops, using the Double ended Flemish Twist method. Then we sting up the new bow and loose some arrows through it for the first time.

Enjoy!
