Qld Labor and LNP polling neck and neck in lead-up to state election

Queensland Labor and the Liberal National party are polling neck and neck in the lead-up to the state election later this year.

A UComms poll shows a one per cent increase to Labor on a two-party preferred basis.

It follows Steven Miles’ succession to leadership.

It now puts the party even with the LNP at 50-50.

The Premier’s popularity has also increased to 49 per cent, trailing Opposition leader David Crisafulli by two points.

Polling shows Queenslanders ranked cost of living, crime and housing as the top three challenges in the state.
