Coconut Lime Verbena Cold Process Soap Making & Cutting | Northern Waters Cleansing Co.

Trying out a new fragrance! I liked the way this fragrance behaved; no acceleration and no ricing. This fragrance had been requested by numerous people so I thought I should give it a go! To be honest, to me, it smells exactly like the shampoo and conditioner you get at the Holiday Inn haha!

On a recent trip to the Dollar Store I totally scored and found some extra large size Wilton piping tips for only $3. The tips actually came in a set of 2 and 6 piping bags - a pretty good deal for $3 CDN!! This seemed like the perfect loaf of soap to try out the new extra large star piping tip. The soap batter behaved so well I was able to go out and pick my kids up from school while the piping was setting up. I'd say it took about an hour for the piping to be at the correct consistency. For this batch, I used the extra soap for piping. Sometimes I make up a separate piping batch but this time I didn't.

This loaf was cut almost exactly 24 hours after it was poured.

Also, you may have noticed by my body language in my videos that I HATE this stick blender I have... HATE IT!! My other one burned out when I was in the middle of making liquid soap around Christmas time so I ran out and picked this white stick blender up. The price should have been a dead giveaway that it really isn't the best quality... I find this blender incorporates WAY too many bubbles in my soap batter so I'll be investing in a GOOD stick blender very shortly!
