Tears For Fears - Everyone Wants Rule The World / Michael Jackson -The Way You Make Me Feel- 'mash potato crescendo' drum cover by Sammy Lee Drumz, with sprinklings of 'Back To The Future' flavouring...
When I was a kid growing up in the 1980's there was one song in particular that defined the era for my spongelike afro covered mind = 'Everyone wants to rule the world' by Tears For Fears. I remember riding in the back of my uncle and aunt's convertible yellow MG with the sun beatin' down from crystal clear blue skies, the wind blowing some seriously impressive mulleted big hair, while the radio repeatedly blasted this tune...
I'm sure I wasn't the only one who feels this way!!!
Speaking of which, it always occurred to me how sonically similar Michael Jacksons 'The way you make me feel' was to the aforementioned nostalgia anthem by Tears, So I figured why not mash em' together, I know it's probably been done before but... hey, its 2020... everything's been done before man!!!! And Michael Jackson owned the 1980's, along with Van Halen and Prince, he was my first musical obsession and my first musical purchase... but that's a story for my blog, not this here shameless bit of rhythmical homage poncification.
Disclaimer: I do not own any of the interspersed music video footage from Tears For Fears, Back To The Future and Michael Jackson, it is used with respect to all artists and serves a creative purpose rather than a rip off just to get channel traffic.
Stay Frosty Y'all and be excellent to one another.
