Mufti Monawwar Ateeq:
“And so, I really say we can classify people into two groups - when they speak ill of Imam Ahmad Rida - two groups. Those who are obstinate, are opponents, their hearts are veiled, they do not want to see the truth; they are the true deviants. And then there are people who may be speaking ill of our Imam because they have not read him. Have not seen him. And if his image is truly presented to them, perhaps they will accept the true message of our Imam.

And 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 lies our responsibilty. Not everyone speaking ill of our Imam may necessarily belong to a deviant group. Maybe a common person who is confused and does not know anything, and is none-the-wiser, has heard that ‘Ahmad Rida is the founder of the Barelwi sect, they worship graves, they’re Sufis that do Qawwali at graves,’ and so forth. And so that is our responsbility, then, to publish the works of our Imam, to conduct gatherings like this, and clarify misconceptions. To show from the real and original works of Sayyidi Imam Ahmad Rida what his true height is.”
