The Telangana government has announced a major statewide land re-survey initiative aimed at eliminating land disputes and ensuring clear ownership records across the state.

Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy stated that the government’s goal is to build a “dispute-free Telangana” through systematic land re-survey operations.

During a teleconference with revenue officials, the minister said the survey will begin in phases from next month. Out of 10,954 revenue villages, 2,240 villages from 32 districts have been selected for the first phase, with around 70 villages per district being covered.

He also noted that 378 villages without proper land maps have been identified. While surveys have already been completed in five villages with Bhudhaar numbers assigned, work is ongoing in the remaining 373 villages using rover-based modern technology.

After completion, every land parcel will have clearly defined boundaries and a unique Bhudhaar number, ensuring transparency and security for farmers and landowners across Telangana.
