16-year-old Archie dreams of swimming at the Paralympics

Meet sport-mad Archie, a record-breaking swimmer with dreams of getting to the Paralympic Games in 2028. He’s competitive in a lot of sports and the swimming pool is where he’s really excelled, breaking several British men’s records. And his next ambition is the Paralympic podium.

Archie was diagnosed with severe retinal dystrophy at 20 months old but, as his Dad says, they’ve never put any constraints on what he can achieve.

Archie has had support from Habilitation Specialists at Guide Dogs to learn cane skills and build his independence. And he has hopes of applying for a guide dog when he’s older.
