Jean Michel Jarre - Monaco's Concert Last Minute Preparations

Last-minute preparations are underway in Monaco ahead of electropop veteran Jean-Michel Jarre's major concert in honour of Prince Albert and Charlene Wittstock's wedding.

The huge free concert will completely take over Monaco's majestic Hercules harbour.

It is will be the composer's first ever show on the Mediterranean coast -- a dream come true for the artist:

"Initially, a few years ago, the stage was going to face the rocks. But now with the new harbour, it seemed obvious the concert should take place here, for several reasons," Jarre told euronews.

"First of all, because the bay of Monaco is a natural arena and we expect a huge crowd to gather for the concert here in the harbour. There's a lot of space in Monaco, more than you would think.

"There's the quayside, all the terrasses, the hillside too, which we've equipped with the help of local radio stations so people will be able to see the concert from all these places," he said.

The concert is a major technical challenge, with video projections and fireworks in addition to the light and sound show.
