"How to" Install 4th Gen Trans Am Harley Fog Light Mod and Morimoto Halos

I installed some 4.5" LED fog lights which some refer to the Harley fog light mod. I topped them off with some 120mm Morimoto RGB halos to use as running lights, turn signals, and car show lights.

You can also buy them with a built in white halo for about the same price.
This job will require some metal cutting, drilling and tapping threads. I used a M5 tap for a 25mm x M5 bolt. I also used ½” spacers. I couldn’t find metal ones so I used plastic spacers. The 120mm Morimoto RGB halos are attached with silicone. You can also just buy the switchback halos that do amber and white to save some money if you don’t need the color changing ability for car shows. It took me about 45 minutes per halo to install so overall the job was pretty fast. The light output of the halos alone is incredible and nice and low to the ground so they don’t blind anyone. The connector on the halo plugs directly into the factory wiring. Be sure to match up the wire colors when plugging them in (black to black), (red to purple). The plug goes in both ways. Test the make sure they light before bolting everything back up.
