Because We Care - Risk Reduction & Army Substance Abuse Program
The Risk Reduction Program strives to increase the resilience of our force and decrease the rate of suicide within the North Dakota National Guard by working with internal programs and community resources.
Through Resilience and Suicide Prevention training, Service Members and family members can learn how to identify someone at risk of suicide and the actions needed to assist them. Being knowledgeable of your own level of resilience combined with the knowledge of at risk identifiers can allow for the prevention of suicidal behavior.
The purpose of the Army Substance Abuse Program is to deter substance abuse by providing prevention education and referral resources to ARNG Soldiers, and to provide Commanders with tools to assess the readiness of their Unit.
The NDARNG strives to foster resilient and healthy Soldiers, Families and civilian employees by embracing a culture of total fitness. The NDARNG Army Substance Abuse Program supports this mission through substance abuse deterrence, prevention, education and rehabilitation.
If you, a battle buddy, or a loved one need assistance, information or education regarding a substance abuse issue, please contact:
Jeramie Johnson, Risk Reduction Coordinator at 701-333-3266 or jeramie.r.johnson.ctr@mail.mil
Cameron McClenahan, Prevention Coordinator at 701-333-3080 or cameron.m.mclenahan.ctr@mail.mil
