Viborg. Finland's Lost Crown Jewel

29,6.2017 I visited Vyborg in Russia for a day to see the remains of it's medieval and Finnish past. I'm sad to see that the beautiful city is falling apart even though some renovations are currently being done.

Pre WW2, Viipuri was Finland's second biggest city but currently it only has a population of 90000. All Finnish citizens were evacuated from the city in 1944 when it fell into Soviet control.

The city is well over 700 years old.
