0V to 3V voltage regulator using lm317 #lm317 #voltageregulator

I took help from ChatGPT.

Components Required:
• 1 × LM317 Voltage Regulator
• 1 × 10k Potentiometer (used as variable resistor)
• 1 × 240Ω Resistor (fixed)
• 1 × 1µF Capacitor (for input filtering)
• 1 × 10µF Capacitor (for output filtering)
• 1 × LED (for output test)
• 1 × 330Ω Resistor (for LED current limiting)
• Power Supply: 5V–6V DC (battery or adapter) I gave supply from laptop output😅
• Breadboard & Jumper Wires (optional for prototyping)
Circuit Connections:

1. Power Input:
• +5V to +6V → Connect to LM317 Pin 3 (Input)
• 1µF capacitor between Pin 3 (Input) and Ground

2. Voltage-Setting Resistors:
• Connect a 240Ω resistor between:
• LM317 Pin 2 (Output) and
• LM317 Pin 1 (Adjust)

3. 10k Potentiometer (Used as Variable Resistor):
• Pin 1 of potentiometer → connect to LM317 Pin 1 (Adjust)
• Pin 2 (middle/wiper) → connect to Ground
• Pin 3 → leave unconnected (or short it to Pin 2)

4. Output Capacitor:
• Connect a 10µF capacitor between:
• LM317 Pin 2 (Output) and
• Ground

5. LED Output (to Test Voltage):
• LED Anode (long leg) → connect to LM317 Pin 2 (Output)
• LED Cathode (short leg) → connect to one end of a 330Ω resistor
• Other end of the 330Ω resistor → connect to Ground
