VALLEY OF FLOWERS TREK (August 2020) | Best trek in Uttarakhand | A UNESCO World Heritage Site

This video will take you to a virtual tour of the beautiful UNESCO world heritage site of the 'Valley of Flowers National Park'. Set in the backdrop of the majestic Himalayan Ranges, Valley of Flowers is a virtual paradise on Earth. The 36 km trek requires basic fitness levels to enjoy the best of this place. The park contains high diversity and density of flora and fauna. The best months to visit this place are July, August and September.
Simple Itinerary for Valley of Flowers

1st Day:- You need to travel by road from Dehradun to Joshimath (about 10-11 hours). Stay in Joshimath, you will find good accommodations here.

2nd Day:- Travel for another one hour to Gobindghat from where the trek starts. (You can also stay in Govindghat for Day 1 but here accommodations are very limited). Upon reaching Govindghat you can take a local shared cab for upto 3 km which will reduce your this day trek from 13 km to 10 km.
Trek for 10 km and reach Ghangharia. You will find good accommodations in Ghangharia but the best option is GMVN (We stayed here and had a comfortable stay, also the food was okay).

3rd Day:- This day you will be witnessing the magical Valley of Flowers. You need to trek for 4-5 km to reach the valley from Ghangharia. Return the same day to Ghangharia and stay there for the night.

4th Day:- Trek down from Ghangharia to Govindghat and travel back home.
