Robert Shaw conducting the Robert Shaw Festival Singers at First Baptist Church, Greenville, SC, Thursday, June 25, 1998. This was part of the Robert Shaw Choral Institute held at Furman University in Greenville. Robert Shaw died January 25, 1999, exactly 7 months after this concert. Therefore, it is one of the last of his public concerts and probably the last performance of this classic spiritual arranged by Robert Shaw and Alice Parker.
