I am finally making a 2 part video series all about my cancer research job as a research technician at king's college london! To give you a brief history, I studied Biomedical Sciences BSc at Newcastle University for my undergraduate degree, and after that a Masters of Research degree (MRes) in Translational Cancer Medicine at King's College London.

I know when I was studying my biomedical sciences degree at newcastle university, I was constantly stressed out about what jobs or careers this degree can lead to. now that I'm a bit older (and hopefully wiser!) I've learnt that there is actually so much that you can do with a biomed degree, and today I just wanted to share with you JUST ONE of the things you can do!

In my last video, I talked to you all about how I found my job online, and what the job description stated, and what requirements I needed, my full application process, and how I did the interview at the research labs. In this video I talk to you in more detail about my actual role, what I do on a day to day basis, what research studies I do, what research protocols I follow, what a typical week looks like, and how I work with a multi-disciplinary team of nurses, doctors and scientists, I appreciate that finding science, biomedical sciences, research or just general healthcare jobs can be challenging but I hope this video will inspire you if nothing else, that you CAN get a job with your life sciences degree.
