Is the Toyota Crown a sedan or an SUV? With the arrival of the 2025 Toyota Crown Signia, it's both! The Signia adds a new SUV-like roofline to Toyota's SUV-like Crown.

And that name? "Signia" signifies the insignia that the Crown model has worn in various guises since it was introduced by Toyota in 1958. But let's get into a bit more detail.

The Crown Signia shares the same chassis and drivetrain as the Crown sedan, although it is taller and slightly longer. The Crown Signia is only available as a hybrid with AWD. Under the hood, you'll find a 2.5L engine, and when you combine this with the power of the electrically driven rear wheels, the Crown Signia has a combined system output of 243 hp.
