BLACK SATURDAY with GARY V | Holy Week 2024

What is there to think about when it comes to Black Saturday? It’s kind of like the black sheep of Holy Week days, people don’t seem to think much of it. But this was the day just before the resurrection. Even when we don’t see it, God is at work. This day mirrors our own moments when a lot of us have hit the lowest point of our lives and are in need of revival. For many of Jesus’ followers, this day was as dark as any day could get. Today we meditate on Luke 23:54-56

”It was Preparation Day, and the Sabbath was about to begin. The women who had come with Jesus from Galilee followed Joseph and saw the tomb and how his body was laid in it. Then they went home and prepared spices and perfumes. But they rested on the Sabbath in obedience to the commandment.”
