Let’s face it, everyone loves Pokemon! It’s the most successful franchise of all time for a reason! The series makes great video games, fantastic playing cards and more merchandise than you can throw a Snorlax at. That being said, many fans have kind of given up on the anime. Sure the Kanto days have a special place in the hearts of anime fans but the series has largely been forgotten.

Well it’s time to get back into it folks! That’s right, the new episodes, titled Pokemon Journeys: The Series, have everything you love about Pokemon and more! If you’ve ever been eager to get back into the series, I have to tell you that now is the time!

For starters, Ash Ketchum is right off his victory in the Alola League where he FINALLY became a Pokemon Champion. While the series could’ve easily rested on these laurels for a bit, it has instead decided to leap off into a bold new direction with a beautiful new artstyle.

So what is it about this new direction that you’d love so much? Well, simply put, it’s a love letter to all the longtime fans of Pokemon. It’s filled with deep-cut references and touching moments that diehard Poke-fans will love.

Not only that but it gives you tons of new things to love about the franchise. There are new characters, new Pokemon and a whole new journey that shows that the long-running series isn’t getting stale at all. In fact, it looks like it’s only just getting started.
