Part 1 ✨ How to Make a Handwritten Font ✨ | Simple and Quick Using iFontMaker

Hey, what’s up you guys?

Today I'm here to show you how I made my very first fonts ever - including the very first one I ever listed on Etsy that earned my my first $500 online and showed me that this is something that I could actually do!

Fast forward a couple of years and I have fine-tuned a process that still uses this program that has earned me thousands of dollars on different fonts!

This is a great app to begin with and absolutely is worth trying out if you have ever considered getting into font-making.

This is also the app I used when I wasn't even considering selling fonts but just wanted to make my own to use in the classroom with my students. They loved seeing my own handwriting on screen (and so did I!).

I'm excited to share this with you today and give you some tips and tricks for making a cohesive font that you can be proud of, along with a couple little time savers I've learned along the way too!

Hopefully this will become a bit of a series on this channel where we can take the knowledge of this program and keep adding to it to help you explore new and creative ways to make fonts.

The program I'm using today is called iFontMaker which costs $7.99 on the app store - I think this is a pretty good deal considering what you're getting. Often this is the cost of a single font, and now you can make as many as you want! Plus other programs like this that simplify font making can cost $20 for the iPad or even more expensive when you get into the professional programs.

It truly is a great place to start!
