Have you ever experienced it yourself? You do your best to catch the train and run towards it. You are almost there but the train is leaving right in front of you. You look angrily at the driver because you could have easily got in quickly, right? It happens to the travelers in this movie at 21:54. It is not up to me and you to judge whether they are right to be angry, who knows what they have already experienced earlier on the train or bus and how important their appointment is. A train departure is more than just closing the doors and driving away. It is a procedure: the departure process. Once set in motion, there is no turning back. This process takes 10 to 20 seconds. Unfortunately, if you come running down the stairs during that time, you can no longer enter. If the conductor sees you running and the train is not delayed, he may want to wait. But at a crowded station that could mean you could never leave because behind you the next traveler will come running. It is very busy on the track, so it is important to leave on time. What makes a train driver so sad is that travelers who are late (in this film the train even departed half a minute late) throw angry looks at the driver. But if the driver receives a departure order from the conductor after the doors are closed, he MUST go. I hope that the travelers in this film are more satisfied with their next journey. Heb jij het zelf wel eens meegemaakt? Je doet je best om de trein te halen en rent er naar toe. Je bent er bijna maar de trein rijdt vlak voor je neus weg. Je kijkt boos naar de machinist want je had toch nog makkelijk even gauw in kunnen stappen? Het overkomt de reizigers in deze film op 21:54. Het is niet aan mij en jullie om te oordelen of zij terecht boze blikken en gebaren maken, wie weet wat ze onderweg in de trein of bus al hebben meegemaakt en hoe belangrijk hun afspraak is. Het vertrekken van een trein is meer dan de deuren dicht doen en wegrijden. Het is een procedure: het vertrekproces. Eenmaal in gang gezet, is er geen weg meer terug. Dit proces duurt 10 tot 20 seconden. Als je in die tijd de trap af komt rennen, kun je helaas niet meer naar binnen. Als de conducteur je aan ziet komen rennen en de trein heeft geen vertraging, dan wil hij nog wel eens wachten. Maar op een druk station kan dat betekenen dat je nooit zou kunnen vertrekken want achter jou komt de volgende reiziger alweer aanrennen. Het is erg druk op het spoor, en daarom is het belangrijk om op tijd te vertrekken. Wat een machinist dan zo verdrietig maakt, is dat reizigers die te laat zijn (in deze film vertrok de trein zelfs al een halve minuut te laat) boze blikken naar de machinist werpen. Maar als de machinist vertrekbevel krijgt van de conducteur nadat de deuren zijn gesloten, MOET hij gaan rijden. Ik hoop dat de reizigers in deze film over hun volgende rit wel tevreden zijn. Mijn advies is: vertrek altijd RUIM op tijd wanneer je per openbaar vervoer reist. Aan boord van deze trein zaten trouwens weer twee volgers van Cabview Holland. Het was leuk hè?
