I GOT MARRIED IN ETHIOPIA! | A Traditional Harari Bride | African Wedding

My family surprised my with a wedding in Ethiopia when my husband and I arrived in Harar. I've always loved watching Harari weddings but there is seldom a Harari community in London, so I've only previously attended one Harari wedding. My husband is not Ethiopian (he is Eritrean) and so he, and I, were both very new to the dances and music. Although we did not carry out all the traditions, we did the following:

Aruz Mawalal - walking around the city inviting guests to the wedding
Zagan Karabu - morning of the wedding, ladies dance inside the home
Ankar Mahtab - afternoon of the wedding, lades and groomsmen dance outside the house
Gufta Mogad - the bride's hair gets tied into two balls to symbolise her maried status.

I had suchhhh an amazing time and I am so grateful to my family for organising a memorable day for us. I hope that you've all enjoyed my vlogs and I cannot wait to return very soon inshaAllah.
