Doctors found a dysfunction in her husband's kidneys a few years ago. From that day on, the family's lives completely changed. For years, Mr. Jerbi tried to put on a brave face despite his inability to work and provide for his family and his ongoing suffering.

After several years of treatment, the big news finally arrived: They found a kidney donor! The operation was b"H a real success. Life would finally be able to resume for this large family ...or so they thought...They never expected-as did anyone- the arrival of COVID-19 and the devastation it brought in its wake.

A few months before her marriage, their daughter Racheli caught the virus. A few days later, it was Mr. Jerbi's turn to catch the terrible virus. What the family had feared ended up happening: Mr. Jerbi, a high-risk patient due to his kidney surgery, had to be hospitalized. While there, his condition deteriorated. Doctors made the decision to transfer him to intensive care, while his daughter Racheli finished the final preparations for her wedding …
Despite the agonizing situation, the big day arrived. The whole family tried their best to make this day as joyous as possible. Racheli was accompanied under the chuppah by her mother, as she tearfully implored HaShem to send her dear father a speedy refuah shleimah.
A few minutes later, the terrible news arrived from the hospital ... Mr. Jerbi had returned his soul to his Creator. What was supposed to be a day of joy turned into a day of mourning.
Mr Jerbi left behind a devastated widow and orphans, including a distraught newlywed kallah, as well as a mountain of debt and an ongoing eviction issue ... We need to lighten the burden of suffering of this family by helping and supporting them.
