HP Omen X 17 Review - Overclockable & GTX 1080 with a Unique Design

Lisa Gade reviews the HP Omen X 17 premium gaming laptop with a unique design and powerful Intel Core i7-7820HK overclockable CPU and NVIDIA GTX 1080 graphics. Pricing starts at $1800 for a Core i7-7700HQ with GTX 1070, and our higher end config runs $2300 to $2500. The notebook has a 17.3” full HD IPS 120Hz display with NVIDIA G-Sync and there’s a 4K option too. An RGB programmable backlit mechanical keyboard is standard as are 2 Thunderbolt 3 ports. It’s available with up to 32GB RAM and has 2 M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD slots and 1 HDD bay. It competes with the Alienware 17 R4, Acer Predator 17 and MSI’s GT series.
