Sometimes people will misunderstand what this mindset pillar really means.

They think Acceptance is about just giving up and calling it quits.

That's not acceptance.

Acceptance is not about giving up the idea of getting back together. Not at all.

It's about giving up the attachment you have to any sort of outcome, especially ones that are beyond your control-to feel good about yourself.

This includes, things like money, your partner, your looks, where you live, what you drive etc.

You can lose your money, your partner could leave. Looks fade with time. You might have to give up where you live and you could easily lose your car.

These things don't define who you are.

Acceptance is about detaching yourself from all these things and learning to be okay with whatever is happening around you.

If you do get upset if something bad happens outside of you, understand that its a symptom of insecurity. These are holes within yourself that you're trying to fill with other things.

So I strongly encourage you to cultivate acceptance so that you have your emotional wellbeing that comes from within rather than things that are beyond your control.
