Lorde - Royals (Audio)

In this Indie single off of the New Zealander’s debut The Love Club EP, Lorde comes to the conclusion that the decadent lifestyle doesn’t suit her.

The song was praised for its minimalistic beat and mature lyrics that depict the media’s effects on an average teen. “Royals” debuted at #1 in New Zealand, and eventually topped the Billboard Hot 100, right above Katy Perry's "Roar" and Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball".
