Early Pregnancy Worries & Fears - Miscarriage & Finding a Midwife

Hello Everyone! I'm pregnant! I'm currently still early on in my first trimester of pregnancy, but I already have some big fears, concerns and worries about this pregnancy. I had a miscarriage over ten years ago and having a second miscarriage, after years of trying to conceive, is still a huge fear for me! I also live in an area of the world, Alberta, Canada, where it can be difficult to find alternative childbirth assistance, AKA a Midwife. Midwifery is underfunded in this province, which makes it very competitive and sometimes very difficult to actually GET a midwife, especially in rural communities. Luckily, I live in the capital city of Alberta, Edmonton, so hopefully I will have a good shot at one! The only other options for an expecting, pregnant, mom-to-be is to have an unassisted free birth at home or to receive care from a maternity doctor at a hospital or birthing center. Though those options are not too bad, it would still be great to have more midwives in Alberta!
