The ORC Process - Atlas Copco Solutions for Geothermal and Waste Heat Recovery Plants

The Atlas Copco Gas and Process Division provides a complete range of Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) solutions for geothermal and waste heat to power applications. While presenting some insights into one of our flagship projects in Turkey (the Pamukören 1&2 geothermal power plant) this video provides a brief explanation about the Organic Rankine Cycle technology Atlas Copco is offering. Main advantage of the ORC technology for geothermal applications is the possibility to utilize medium to low temperature heat sources under 200°C / 400°F that otherwise could not be harnessed with conventional technologies such as steam or flash power plant technology.
