How To Make & Install A Regulated Dead Key Variable

Dedicated to Mr. 225rc, here is a How To Video Showing how to Compile and Install a Regulated Dead Carrier Control other wise known as an RF Power Control.

This is also considered a swing kit.

Man Plans on the Internet leave out the most important Component. A TIP 29 Transistor.

The problem with the way most plans show, you have to pass the RF through the wire all the way to the front of the radio then through a Variable like the RF Gain in Series then back where it started. This can cause lost of Power, Interference, Stray RF, and which is a most common problem quick wear and tear on the Variable used resulting in your Radio not working at all.

With this version of the Mod the RF NEVER LEAVES the Transistor. All you are doing is Control the Bias of the Transistor instead of sending RF Through those wires here and there and back here again.

This MOD is for the Cobra 25, 29, Uniden 66, 68, 76, etc...
