INFORMATION ABOUT OUR TRIP-
WHERE TO STAY:
We used Air-B-n-B for renting the house that was our home base in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was perfect so that Presley had her own room to sleep in, and so that kids could nap and go to bed before we did. It also had a kitchen and washer and dryer, which was great for when you're traveling with the kids! Especially since Presley had a blowout in her carseat, so we had to wash the cover!
WHAT TO DO:
We hiked Brighton (stroller friendly) and saw a moose, Ensign Peak (only stroller friendly-ish to the first viewing area), and Donut Falls (FYI- super cool to see, but not very kid friendly! We thought it was pretty dangerous at the end with some very large cliff drops and water falls)
Liberty Park was an amazing Central Park with a huge playground and splash pad in the heart of Salt Lake City.
WHERE TO EAT:
Restaurants we ate at that were wonderful- Kyoto (Japanese and Sushi, Red Iguana 2 (Mexican and the best margaritas!!), Pig + the Jelly Jar (breakfast and lunch all day- so good!), Squatters (American pub food). We ordered Pizza from The Pie, and I would highly recommend the cheesy bread and their ranch and marinara sauce to dip! We also did some fast food while we were out and about, and made a Target run at the beginning of the trip and stocked up on snacks like granola bars, protein bars, milk, bread, graham crackers, pretzels, veggie straws, water and gatorade.
For national parks and hiking trails, I would highly recommend getting snacks, water, and food that can last for awhile, stocking up your car with extras, and get a cooler (we bought one for $1 at the gas station) so that you can keep milk and some beverages cool at all times in the car for before/after hikes. The national parks don't sell water or food to keep a limit on waste in the parks, so a canteen or refillable water bottle is a good idea. Changes of clothes, sunscreen, extra diapers and wipes, and extra blankets are great to pack too! The weather in the mountains can suddenly be much cooler than in the city, so adding extra layers and having a blanket was really helpful!
If you decide to go on a trip, HAVE FUN!!!

A BIT ABOUT ME:
I was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. #clevelandblogger #ohioblogger I attended Ohio University, where I acquired a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism, and a master's degree in communication. From there, I joined Teach For America and taught 7th grade English in Baltimore, MD. I moved home to Cleveland to marry my husband, and have worked in a variety of roles in recruitment and HR. I currently am a #stayathomemom until I start a new job in the fall. I have two babies- my son Landon is three years old, and my daughter Presley is one year old. I love being a mommy, decorating our home, planning parties, shopping, working out, cooking, cleaning, and meeting new people. I am very passionate about helping others, and ensuring the world is a better place, especially when it comes to our children.
