In this video, I show you how to configure an Extended Access Control List (ACL) on a Cisco router to block one host from accessing another across networks.

Even in a OSPF environment, ACLs are critical for enforcing security policy and controlling traffic flow.
You’ll learn why we use ACLs, when to use extended ACLs, and where to place them in the network for maximum efficiency.

I’ll demonstrate a real configuration that filters traffic at the source to prevent unnecessary network load.
