The 45th Anniversary Edition is equipped with a 3.0-liter in-line 6-cylinder gasoline turbo engine. This latest version of the Straight 6 uses a dual-branch construction that increases the number of ports on the exhaust manifold from two to six. Furthermore, by adopting a newly designed piston, the compression ratio of the engine has been changed from 11:1 to 10.2:1. The engine produces more torque at higher revs and keeps it rolling with turbine-like smoothness.

For the US specification, the maximum output is 382hp/5800~6500rpm and the maximum torque is 50.9kgm/1800~5000rpm. Accelerates from 0 to 96 km/h in 3.9 seconds.

The suspension has been retuned to improve roll balance and ride comfort. The electric power steering parts have also been newly designed, and the operating system has been retuned. An active rear sports differential is standard equipment.

In the 45th Anniversary Edition, a 6-speed MT can be selected for the transmission. The traction control and brakes of the 3.0-liter in-line 6-cylinder gasoline turbo engine are optimized for 6-speed MT vehicles. This 6-speed MT has a final ratio of 3.15 (3.46 for the 8-speed AT), achieving response and gearing suitable for sports car performance.

The weight of the shift knob was set at 200g to minimize the force required to shift. Furthermore, in consideration of ergonomics, attention was paid to the layout to create a clearance of about 43 mm between the shift knob and the control panel.

In addition, this 6-speed MT has introduced "iMT", which controls the computer to achieve the optimum engine speed according to the driver's clutch and shift operations. It is said that blipping will be performed automatically during shift operation.
