INTERSTATE DRUG PEDDLERS NABBED BY SOT LB NAGAR ZONE & ABDULLAPURMET POLICE FOR ILLEGAL TRANSPORTATION OF GANJA FROM RAJAHMUNDRY OF A.P STATE TO UTTAR PRADESH STATE – HELD (03)

On 13.12.2023, acting on specific information, the sleuths of Special Operations Team (SOT), LB Nagar Zone along with Abdullapurmet Police busted an interstate Ganja syndicate, apprehended (03) Ganja peddlers and seized huge quantity of Ganja and other incriminating material from their possession.
Cr. No. 693/2023 U/Sec. 8 (C) r/w 20 (B) (II) (C) OF NDPS ACT – 1985 (AMENDMENT ACT-2001) OF ABDULLAPURMET PS, RACHAKONDA.
The details of the accused persons:-

1 : Vikas Tyagi, S/o. Yogendra Tyagi, Age: 29 years, Occ: Plumber, R/o. Baranawa (Vlg), Baghpat (Dist), Uttar Pradesh State.

2 : Abrar, S/o. Qayum, Age: 30 years, Occ: Driver, R/o. Lisari Gate, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh State

3 : Md. Amiruddin, S/o Md. Shakeel, Age: 32 years, Occ: Tiles worker, R/o. Lisari Gate, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh state
SEIZED MATERIAL:

1) Ganja: 360 KGs
(Total 72 packets, Each packet containing 5 KGs )

2) Mahendra XUV 500 Car: DL10CH3988

3) Cell Phone: 04

Seized property all W/Rs. about Rs. 1 crore.

Brief Facts:-

The accused VIkas Tyagi, Abrar and Amiruddin are friends. They came in contact with one Ganja peddler at Gaziabad of Uttar Pradesh state wherein he offered them good share amount for transporting of Ganja from Rajahmundry of A.P. State to Uttar Pradesh. On that the accused accepted his proposal and as per the instructions of Ganja receiver, they used to go to Rajahmundry by a car which is provided by him and collects Ganja from the supplier at Rajahmundry and hand over to the receiver at Meerut of U.P.state. For each consignment the accused used to collect their share amount from the Ganja peddler.

As per the instructions of the receiver the accused persons went to Rajahmundry in Mahindra XUV 500 Car and collected 360 KGs of Ganja from one supplier and proceeded to Uttar Pradesh State via Hyderabad.

On 13/12/2023 at night hours, on reliable information, the sleuths of SOT, LB Nagar Zone team along with the Abdullapurmet Police, intercepted One Mahindra XUV 500 car near Sampoorna Hotel, ORR, Abdullapurmet and seized the above material from their possession. The accused are being sent to judicial remand.

It is told that previously three to four times they have transported the Ganja from Rajahmundry of A.P. to Meerut of U.P. via Hyderabad in the same manner and handed over to the receiver.
To avoid police checking and identification of the vehicle the accused affixed another vehicle fast tag to the crime vehicle. Further one of the accused used to get down before toll plaza and after giving clearance the accused used to cross the toll plaza.
The above arrests were made under the direct supervision of Shri G. Sudheer Babu, IPS., Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda and the under guidance of K. Muralidhar, DCP, SOT, LB Nagar-LB Nagar by SOT LB Nagar Zone Team, Abdullapurmet & SOT LB Nagar police personnel.
