Should You Initiate Contact with The Ex that Dumped You?
I came across a good question from one of my subscribers and I thought I'd answer it in a whole video! This subscriber confirmed with me an idea that she got from other "relationship experts" that says that if someone broke up with you, you shouldn't be the one initiating contact.
There are a lot of relationship experts online that says this but I beg to differ. In my point of view, there is nothing wrong in initiating contact with your dumper. Why? There's no hundred percent possibility that your ex will feel that need to initiate contact with you. If you really want it to work, you would set your ego aside and actually try to make a better connection with your ex. Always remember, MIND GAMES DO NOT WORK.
If you feel the need to take a break, there's no problem with that as long as you work on your Advanced Relational Skills for better emotional connection with your ex.
Remember that if you want to create an emotional connection with someone, it’s best to take the initiative yourself rather than waiting endlessly for them to do what you aren’t willing to do.
And if you want to get in contact with your ex, it’s best to do it yourself.
Sure, in an ideal world, it would be nice if the dumper took the first move. But we don’t live in an ideal world, and if you’re waiting for someone else to do what you believe they should do, then you may find yourself waiting for a very, very long time.
If you want to be in contact with someone, pick up the phone and text them or call them and get the ball rolling.
Obviously, this isn’t the only consideration in the process of contacting your ex, but when it comes to initiating things, you have to be willing to go after what you want rather than clinging to arbitrary rules and “shoulds” that other people may not agree with.
