The Impossible 7th-Century Prophecy That Stunned Historians 🤯

In the year 614 CE, the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Empire faced absolute annihilation. The Sassanid Persian Empire had captured Damascus, overrun Jerusalem, massacred their armies, and stolen their most sacred relics. To the ancient world, Rome was permanently finished.
Yet, in that exact year of total despair, the Quran issued an impossible, public geopolitical forecast in Surah Ar-Rum (30:2-4). It boldly declared that despite this total defeat, the Romans would completely reverse the war and achieve total victory within a "few" years (Bidh'i—the specific Arabic grammatical term for a period of 3 to 9 years).
Against all military odds, in 622 CE—exactly 8 years later—the Roman Emperor Heraclius pulled off one of the greatest military comebacks in human history, shattering the Persian core defense and fulfilling the scriptural timeline to the letter.
