Let's Play... Starglider Pro!
This is a blast from the past. A protected-mode DOS game for VGA/VESA 2.0 graphics adapters and SoundBlaster sound cards I made in the summer of '96 as preparation for my 3D computer graphics oral exam. It's a rip-off of Rainbird's famous mid-80s Starglider game, which was one of my favorites on the Atari ST.
The game and 3D rendering engine were developed from scratch, as an unholy mixture of C++ and 386 assembly for the low-level parts such as fixed-point linear algebra, 2D frame buffer graphics, and multi-source sound mixing.
