Don't Be Afraid To ? Your HR Dept + My Experience With FMLA ▪ Intermittent Or Continuous Leave ?

My experience and only mine, everyone experience is different. Have you or a family member been affect by Coronavirus? COVID-19 has forced plenty of individuals to sit out of work and even more are unaware of the job protection that is available for them. Take a minute and read below my experience using FMLA and the issues you may encounter when it is requested. I hope you enjoy the video.

(FMLA) may seem intimidating, I am sharing this information with you because I realized a lot of my coworkers was unaware of the protection it gives them and even afraid to ask about it. I have even been told "I am afraid to even request FMLA because they feared retaliation" Which some employers may try to retaliate (silently) but you must remind yourself that you as an employee have rights.
My employer uses a point system and 1 call out counts for 3 days, so stay out 3 days if needed and if you can afford it. Also, it counts as a point too and if you receive 3 or more points you may be given a verbal or a write up altogether which stays on record for 6 months. If you call out or late at anytime within that 6 month probationary period you can be terminated.

So don't abuse it, but use it when it's only needed. FMLA is not income, but it provides job protection.

Remember if you have a child that is sickly or a close relative (Spouse, mother, father, ect..) and you are needing time off here and there or continuous you are only allotted 480 FMLA hours in a 12 month period for everyone all together.

For Example:
If your spouse is needing surgery and your mother fell and injured her hip, you have to make sure that two pre-certs are requested and filled out individually from each of their providers.

You only get 480 hours to use so use them wisely and see if others family members will rotate with you so that you will not exhaust it all. You may need time off as well, you never know.

Never be discouraged from sharing your Blessings with others .... Your Blessing could help to inspire someone else #Inspiration
