STEPS:
1. Check breaker box to make sure the sump pump has power
2. Check the valve on the drain pipe
3. Disconnect the rubber boot between the sump pump & drain pipe
4. Unplug the sump pump
5. Remove the sump pump
6. Mark the position of the float on the PVC pipe
7. Remove the float from the PVC with a flathead screwdriver
8. Remove the PVC pipe from the old sump pump with a wrench
9. Install the base on the new pump with a Philips head screwdriver
10. Install the PVC pipe on the new pump by hand
11. Tighten the PVC pipe on the new pump with a wrench
12. Install the float on the PVC pipe using a hose clamp and flathead screwdriver
13. Plug the pump into the float switch
14. Put the new sump pump into position
15. Connect the sump pump drain with rubber boot using hose clamps and flathead screwdriver
16. Plug in the new sump pump

1. Wrench
2. Flat Head Screwdriver
3. Phillips Head Screwdriver
