Taliban Locks Kabul With ‘Anaconda Strategy’; Ghani Says Remobilising Afghan Forces Is Top Priority

Afghan President Ashraf Ghani addressed the nation & said that remobilising armed forces is his top agenda. He added that the country is in serious danger of instability & he is in talks with the international community. Ghani’s address comes as the Taliban is closer than ever to toppling the government and installing an Islamic regime. A high ranking Taliban member said that they will get around Kabul like an ‘anaconda and will control the capital in a few weeks’.
