How to replace a spring, an upper strut mounting and a bearing - Mazda 626

Replacing a spring, an upper mounting, a thrust bearing, a bound stopper and a dust cover on the front shock absorber. Needless to say, both shock absorbers need to be overhauled at the same time.
Since the spring on this Mazda has only four coils, I had to attach one end of the spring compressor to the shock absorber and the other end to the spring (usually you attach the spring compressor to the spring only, but it didn't work in this case).
The car is Mazda 626, 1999, 1.8.
